How it all started
The Prezzemolo e Vitale e-commerce was born from the vision of Giuseppe Prezzemolo and Giusi Vitale, who, together with their children, created a virtual space for daily shopping. It offers high-quality products, including items from small local producers and Slow Food Presidia.
The e-commerce platform complements their physical stores, seven in Palermo and three in London, bringing the familiar and traditional in-store shopping experience online, making it accessible to everyone.
The solution
The e-commerce solution developed by Synesthesia, in collaboration with Droplet, allows customers to receive personalized shopping recommendations when accessing the platform. Among the thousands of available products are those from the “Giù Giù” and “Le Eccellenze di Prezzemolo e Vitale” lines, featuring Sicilian specialties under Prezzemolo & Vitale’s private labels.
The platform incorporates three navigation systems, enabling users to easily find what they need:
- Categories and subcategories: presented directly on the homepage, mirroring the structure of departments and shelves in the physical stores;
- filters that allow users to find products by specifying their features;
- auto-complete search enabling the display of the most relevant products and direct addition to the cart for a quicker checkout.
Results
A targeted communication strategy, an intuitive and “familiar” user experience, the development of a dedicated mobile app, and the creation of the Magento-based platform were the key elements in achieving the overarching goal of the e-commerce project: making P&V customers feel “at home.”
