How it all started

Montura is a renowned Italian brand specialising in clothing and sports equipment for outdoor activities, with a focus on mountaineering. Founded in the 1980s by a group of mountaineering enthusiasts, the company began producing climbing backpacks and equipment. Over time, it has expanded its offer to include a wide range of technical garments for hiking, skiing, climbing, running, cycling and other outdoor activities.
Today, Montura clothing is synonymous with high quality, durability and functionality, combining innovative technical materials with comfortable and practical designs.

Our Commerce team manages these activities for Montura online shop:

  • Development and implementation of the digital and e-commerce strategies in cooperation with the brand and its marketing team.
  • Management of the e-commerce catalogue, including product uploads (images, text, prices provided by the customer), organisation of categories, visual merchandising and implementation of price lists for market areas and special offers.
  • Activation of promotional campaigns on the e-commerce platform.
  • Uploading and updating content on the e-commerce platform and CMS.
  • Continuously ensuring the smooth running of the shop (e.g. customer journey, order and inventory flows, settings checks) and managing operational issues.

  • Active participation in sales meetings at headquarters for previews of new collections.
  • Collection of the technical requests and coordination with the relevant departments.

The solution

Synesthesia played a key role in the replatforming of Montura’s shop from Magento to Shopify, managing:

  • The migration of the e-commerce catalogue.
  • The creation and optimisation of collections through advanced meta-fields and the management of dynamic settings.
  • The creation of filters through advanced meta-fields management to optimise the user experience and purchase flow.
  • The generation of price lists for market areas and special offers.
  • The development of components, such as ‘shop the look’, to implement up-selling and cross-selling strategies aimed at improving the user experience and increasing the conversion rate.

In addition to these activities, the Commerce team contributed to the creation of automated workflows from the ERP system and PIM chosen by the brand.
