How it all started
TuttiConnessi is a no-profit initiative conceived by SYX (the cultural association created by some members of the Synesthesia team), Tékhné Teatro, Informatici Senza Frontiere Onlus and Museo Piemontese dell’Informatica – MuPIn.
The aim is to provide digital technology tools to students who need them for distance learning (DAD).
The solution
The project is aimed exclusively at students from families in vulnerability.
The idea is to collect used devices in good condition from private individuals, companies, institutions, and citizens, and then refurbish them by volunteers.
The refurbished devices are distributed to teachers, schools, or directly to families who have requested them. Additionally, a fundraising campaign was launched on ReteDelDono to purchase SIM cards for internet connectivity, supporting the numerous donation offers from private citizens and companies
Results
Over 700 device requests were received. Donations totaled nearly 100 refurbished devices, which were donated to families. The service was activated in Torino, Genoa, and Rome by the end of 2021.
