How it all started
“Casa dei Giornalisti” is a news and discussion platform focusing on the world of journalism.
It is promoted and managed by the Order of Journalists of Piedmont and the Subalpine Press Association. Synesthesia was chosen to develop a digital portal that serves as a virtual representation of the activities taking place at Palazzo Ceriana Mayneri, the headquarters of the Press Club of Turin.
The prestigious conference center, housed in this historic building—which also serves as the visual identity of the website—has witnessed significant moments in Piedmont’s history. Its halls continue to host important cultural events tied to the field of journalism.
The solution
The new website functions both as an integrative system (including automated features) for various sources related to journalism in Piedmont and as a dedicated “blog” providing information from the Order of Journalists of Piedmont.
As Stefano Tallia, President of the Order of Journalists of Piedmont, explains:
“The website was created with the aim of bringing journalism-related issues into the public agenda”.
All information on the site is easily accessible, with a clear and intuitive organization. This ensures users enjoy a smooth and dynamic browsing experience. The graphic concept was carefully designed to reflect the values and goals of the project, with the stunning façade of the building serving as the branding image for the initiative.
Results
The Casa dei Giornalisti website was officially unveiled at Palazzo Ceriana on May 3, 2023, during World Press Freedom Day. The event was attended by notable figures, including the President of the Piedmont Region, Alberto Cirio; the Mayor of Turin, Stefano Lo Russo; the President of the Municipal Council, Maria Grazia Grippo; and the President of the Regional Council of Piedmont, Stefano Allasia.
